FAQs
VVD
-
Vulvodynia is chronic vulvar pain without an identifiable cause. This umbrella term can describe a constellation of pain disorders that are not caused by active infection or a sexually transmitted disease.
-
While the location and severity of pain varies, many women describe feelings of burning, stabbing, cutting, ripping and tearing.
-
Vulvodynia affects women of all ages and ethnicities. Current studies estimate 10-30% of women will experience chronic vulvar pain at some point in their lives.
-
Vulvodynia spontaneously resolves for some; for others it is constant or episodic. While current research is helping to uncover the possible contributing factors of the disease process, treatments are still experimental and there is not yet a cure.
-
Yes! With appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and management, you can feel much better and live a full, joyful life whether or not your vulvodynia fully resolves.
Coaching
-
Just like a sparrow can feast on a handful of seeds, the human heart is sustained by hope that might appear insignificant or even hidden at first. My mission is to sow seeds of real hope that bear lasting fruit.

Coaching and counseling share many of the same goals and values. Counseling is primarily focused on processing and healing from the PAST, which frees us to move forward. Coaching empowers you to move towards your FUTURE goals and desires, using the science of behavior change for lasting success. Your coach also believes that the best expert on your experience is YOU, so a key goal of coaching is helping you get clear on your own vision of wellness and motivation for change. While counselors and therapists are required to be licensed at the state level, this is not the case for coaches, so I am free to support clients anywhere in the world! I love to work alongside therapists for optimal healing, and if you are trying to find a therapist, I can help.
-
Coaching empowers you by asking powerful questions, not by telling you what to do! Key questions and deep listening create a safe space for you to discover your vision of wellness and inner motivation. Your coach can also help you find or confirm a diagnosis, navigate treatment options, build your support team, incorporate transformational lifestyle habits, advocate for yourself, listen to your intuition, process your story, and so much more!
-
Your coach spends a great deal of time researching and training to give you the best support possible. While a doctor may have very limited time to hear your story, your coach looks at the big picture of your life and what you want to change, taking the time to listen deeply and provide regular accountability. Studies have shown that coaching saves money for both patients and the medical industry by helping people choose their most effective treatments and make lasting improvements in their health!

Sparrow Feast Coaching is not in-network with any insurance. This allows me to provide a higher standard of care unrestricted by limits on our session length, duration of work, etc. All coaching clients are provided a detailed receipt that can be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement if allowed by your insurance.

Everyone deserves healing support! That’s why our monthly support group will always be free, along with the growing resource library. In the future, I hope to be able to offer sliding scale packages based on financial need. Reach out if you would like to be put on a wait list for this option. I currently offer a payment plan for all packages so that you can pay in one or two installments with no additional fees!

Coaches work alongside medical professionals and are not licensed by their state. This means we can support clients around the world, but it also means there is little accountability for the claims and promises offered by coaches.
To make sure I am offering you the very best evidence-based, no-BS support, I am a certified coach through the International Women’s Health Institute. I voluntarily adhere to the standard of ethics of the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches.
